Welcome from the Pensacola Fire Department
On behalf of all the dedicated men and women of the Pensacola Fire Department, I would like to welcome you to our department. Our members work everyday to provide the highest quality services to the citizens and visitors of the city. We provide fire suppression, first response emergency medical services, fire code enforcement and public education programs. We serve a very diverse city population of almost 60,000 with multiple hazards. The City of Pensacola has a dense downtown area, suburban homes and shopping, a busy airport and a port facility. In addition, railway lines run through the middle of downtown.
Our members provide services from 6 fire stations through 6 engine companies, 2 ladder companies, 3 rescue companies and 2 Aircraft Rescue Firefighting units. We are also one of the regionally certified training centers for Northwest Florida. Please enjoy your visit to our site and please feel free to visit us in person.

Fire Boat 1 Rescue
A man was rescued from Pensacola Bay Wednesday evening June 6, 2013. The Fire Marshal David Allen says a man who could not swim jumped over the guard rail on Palafox Pier just after 7 pm. A Pensacola police officer jumped in to help the man. The Fire Department then launched it’s new Fire Boat 1 at Bahia Mar Marina and pulled both men out of the water. It’s unknown at this time if the man was hurt.
